About the Association

A platform for professional dialogue, not a commercial intermediary

The Eurasian Association for Sustainability and Security was established in 2022 as a meeting point for authoritative industry communities, associations and expert bodies. It creates the conditions for trust and cooperation across the Eurasian region.

Its work rests on a separation of functions: the development of requirements, the accreditation of certification bodies and the attestation of personnel are carried out by distinct bodies with their own mandates. Accreditation powers have been delegated to the Eurasian Accreditation Committee (EAAC), a separate legal entity.

Statutes and governance
I
Impartiality
The Association provides no certification or consultancy services. The separation of requirement-setting, assessment and decision-making is built into the structure of its bodies.
II
Grounded in international standards
The Association's requirements are based on the ISO/IEC 17000 series, which makes assessment results comparable and mutually acceptable across jurisdictions.
III
Public decisions
Criteria, procedures and decisions taken are published openly. Accredited and attested entities are listed in the public register.
IV
Collegial decision-making
Decisions on requirements and assessment schemes are taken by a vote of the members of the relevant body, not by the Association's administration alone.
Structure

Different competences — one mandate

The Association works through standing committees, expert councils and a research and practice centre. Each body has its own rules of procedure and membership, but operates within a single framework of requirements.
